When it comes to beautifying your modern kitchen interior, most of the time you think about tiles, furniture and furnishings in general, but have you ever thought that your refrigerator might have a role in the big picture?
So, what if your vertical standing refrigerator could move on one side or another? GRO Design’s Bi-Axis Fridge for Samsung is a chic refrigerator that can be distorted from the customary vertical orientation to a horizontal sideboard, failing all conventional theories that say a refrigerator should be standing. Designed to speak up for a change, the contemporary approach makes the new fridge as the center piece in everyone’s kitchen.

Venere Curved and Modern Kitchens Design

By looking at these curved and modern kitchens in the Venere collection by Record Cucine, it is understandable why most women (sometime even men) need an appropriate design for their kitchen.

The Venere kitchens set a fresh mood for your cooking space and thanks to their ergonomic design they also provide great functionality. Available within a wide range of colors from bright white and red to more natural magnolia and iron, the new kitchens are outfitted with a folded transparent glass table on external side so that eating won’t interfere with cooking. More to it, all versions come packed with a sink and a cooking surface so you don’t need to spend some more for those additional features.

Wood Carving-Inspired Acoustic Walls

A great idea for a live/work space, I could see the Pentagon being a really great idea as both a design and sound-minimizing accent for children’s rooms and common rooms in the home, using their inherent design qualities to keep your home from being outrageously loud or chaotic.

Designed to reflect the style and texture of old Norwegian wood carvings, designers at StookeAustad and the wood manufacturer Bosvik developed the Pentagon wall system to lock in and reduce sound using felt and a condensed assortment of recycled materials. Geometric but casual, the Pentagon wall would serve as a great partition for a relaxed, inviting space that needed to be divided for work or play purposes.

Modern Kitchen Designs

It’s not always true that the kitchen is the heart of a house, but when you think that here’s where people tend to chit chat and by looking at these amazing kitchen designs — it got to be true.
The talented designers at Must Italia have successfully created an exquisite new kitchen arrangement combining both simplicity and elegance as one. What’s best from their creations is that you don’t need to sacrifice functionality for that gorgeousness to nestle right inside your home. Bringing a whole different ambiance for each design, all models have one main similarity in concept by using a range of woods and lacquered finishes with a strong personality — like solid wood with gold or silver sanding and gloss or matt horizontal grain ebony.

Italian modern kitchen designed by Antonio Citterio

This year at Furniture Fashion we have reviewed some outstanding modern kitchens, cabinets, islands, and accessories that would make entertaining and cooking a very pleasurable experience.
Arclinea is among the best I have seen, and I just wanted to share a small sampling of their offerings designed by Antonio Citterio, a man who is seriously passionate about his work. With the belief "where the kitchen is home, it is the home which revolves around the kitchen" I can see folk's radiating to these ultra cool surroundings. Every thing you need is right there from well positioned cabinets, to cook tops, and suspended vents with lighting, all in a very clean look combining natural woods and stainless steel.
The Arclinea makes good use of over head space with very tall cabinets accessible with the sliding ladder utilizing otherwise wasted space. If the straight line is appealing, you will love these kitchens right down to the drawer pulls.
Newest modern kitchen by Antonio Citterio

Arclinea released "Lignum et Lapis" their newest modern kitchen creation from architect Antonio Citterio at Eurocucina 2008 which will be available in the United States this Fall. According to Citterio "The kitchen is increasingly a series of design solutions that become architectural solutions" and the Lignum et Lapis is definitely not short on design or solutions.
The beauty of natural plantation-grown sustainable Larch wood is used for benches, and tables, while stone offers tremendous impact and distinction to Lignum et Lapis's innovative islands, bars, and worktops. Other features include under sink units for correct separation of waste to accommodate recycling, electronic integrated mixer faucet with extractable shower and variable lighting indicating water temperature, a tempered glass hood that rises and descends into the island adjacent to the cook top at the push of a button, and ceiling mounted extraction units with adjustable tie rods which may be fitted with a lighting system, indoor miniature greenhouse, and food warmer.
For those who also are serious about their food preparation, Arclinea has even included dish warmer drawers, a warming top which heats up to 108°, and the "cuocipasta" pasta-cooking system with inlet and outlet for water and starch.
