Arclinea released "Lignum et Lapis" their newest modern kitchen creation from architect Antonio Citterio at Eurocucina 2008 which will be available in the United States this Fall. According to Citterio "The kitchen is increasingly a series of design solutions that become architectural solutions" and the Lignum et Lapis is definitely not short on design or solutions.
The beauty of natural plantation-grown sustainable Larch wood is used for benches, and tables, while stone offers tremendous impact and distinction to Lignum et Lapis's innovative islands, bars, and worktops. Other features include under sink units for correct separation of waste to accommodate recycling, electronic integrated mixer faucet with extractable shower and variable lighting indicating water temperature, a tempered glass hood that rises and descends into the island adjacent to the cook top at the push of a button, and ceiling mounted extraction units with adjustable tie rods which may be fitted with a lighting system, indoor miniature greenhouse, and food warmer.
For those who also are serious about their food preparation, Arclinea has even included dish warmer drawers, a warming top which heats up to 108°, and the "cuocipasta" pasta-cooking system with inlet and outlet for water and starch.
